Sanjay Rai, born on  12^th February 1977, Master’s in Social Work, Lucknow University, Master’s in Health Science (Public Health), Annamalai University, has assumed the role of Secretary at Harijan Sevak Sangh since April 2022, where his exceptional working qualities have become evident.

A Peace & solidarity worker, who has been groomed in the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, Vinoba Bhave and Swami Vivekananda through his life-span dedicated to building harmony in larger Indian society. He is associated with National Youth Project (NYP) which was launched in 1970 by Dr. S.N. Subba Rao, eminent Gandhian Peace Activist. He has traveled to different states of India for several national-level youth camps organized

by NYP in order to disseminate messages of peace, harmony and brotherhood among the youth. He also visited Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar and Nepal taking Gandhian doctrine of peace & non-violence forward.  His association in this realm of engagement has been with significant partner agencies, such as, UNICEF, Intra Health, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation & USAID in India.
