Shri Sanjay Rai

Sanjay Rai, born on  12th February 1977, Master’s in Social Work, Lucknow University, Master’s in Health Science (Public Health), Annamalai University, has assumed the role of Secretary at Harijan Sevak Sangh since April 2022, where his exceptional working qualities have become evident.

 

A Peace & solidarity worker, who has been groomed in the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, Vinoba Bhave and Swami Vivekananda through his life-span dedicated to building harmony in larger Indian society. He is associated with National Youth Project (NYP) which was launched in 1970 by Dr. S.N. Subba Rao, eminent Gandhian Peace Activist. He has traveled to different states of India for several national-level youth camps organized

by NYP in order to disseminate messages of peace, harmony and brotherhood among the youth. He also visited Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar and Nepal taking Gandhian doctrine of peace & non-violence forward.  His association in this realm of engagement has been with significant partner agencies, such as, UNICEF, Intra Health, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation & USAID in India.

 

He is Convener, Vinoba Vichar Pravah, Managing Trustee, Gandhian Society, Delhi, Trustee, National Youth Project Trust, Delhi,, Member, Governing Body, KIIT Group of Collages, Gurgaon, Vice President, Gandhi Vichar Yuva Vahini, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Patron, Ashram Gandhi Puri, Bali Indonesia.

Awarded Sewadham Vishwa Maitri Samman 2023, Chaudhari Ranveer Singh National Peace and Harmony Award 2021, Prakriti Sanrakshak Puraskar 2020 by Tarun Bharat Sangh founded by Sri Rajendra Singh (Waterman of India), Nirmla Deshpande Agaze e Dosti Award 2019 by Nirmla Deshpande Sansthan, Panipat, Spirit of Dr S N Subbarao Award 2017 by Haryana Yuva Shakti for Outstanding Contribution to Peace and Harmony.

Dr.Nisha Bala Tyagi

Dr.Nisha Bala Tyagi has done her doctorate in Gandhian Philosophy and post doctorate research in Gandhi and Tolstoy from Delhi University.Nisha is a retired professor from Miranda House ,Delhi University.She has been Deputy Dean Academic ,Gandhi Bhawan, and Deputy Proctor ,Delhi University.Nisha has been to Gandhi Foundation(U.K),Berlin and Erlangen University (Germany ),U.S.A and Sweden to lecture and paper presentations on Gandhi. In Berlin,she had also signed a manifesto against conspiration and the military system.She has also published a book on ‘Goodness:The Gandhian Way of life’from Gandhi Peace Foundation.She has published a number of research papers and book reviews.Nisha has also been associated with post graduate teaching in the Department of Philosophy ,Delhi University.She is also an academic member of the the Athens Institute,’a world association of Academics and Research’.
